In EMX250

Scott Smulders of the Husqvarna SKS Racing NL team has scored four EMX250 points at round seven of the EMX250 Championship in Lommel, Belgium. Smulders finished seventeenth in the opening moto but due to a crash in the beginning of the second moto he failed to score points in this moto.

Smulders had immediately a good feeling on the track in the practice sessions but in time practice it was difficult to ride a perfect lap due to the traffic. He qualified himself in eleventh position in his group and started to prepare himself for the opening moto.

Scott took a good start in the first moto but unfortunately he got a small mechanical problem. Despite this he kept the pace as high as he could and finished the race in seventeenth position. With this result he scored his first ever EMX250 Championship points. In the beginning of the second moto he made a crash and lost a lot of time. After the crash he struggled to find his rhythm and came home in 26th position.

Scott Smulders: ‘’I am disappointed in myself but thankful for everybody who is supporting me. I will focus myself now on the next couple of weekends full of races.’’
